DESCRIPTION
There’s quite a story behind this one! It was purchased by a member of the band Llama Train, which was a featured band at HottFest 2006. The kicker is that the purchaser was actually a fellow named Jon-Paul Plumlee, who is a guitarist for the band. Seems that this fine musician is a collector of unique musical instruments, and when he saw the drum he decided that he had to have it, and purchased it on the spot. Much to his drummer’s surprise, Jon-Paul then gave him the drum as a gift! That drummer, Matt Honkonen, owns the drum to this day, and loves the bell-like tone and clarity the thick shell provides, along with the added warmth and “crack” offered by the maple hoops.
