Refurbished Yamaha Beech Custom Kit Click for image detail BEFORE: AFTER: DESCRIPTION        This kit was originally finished in gloss white lacquer, as the "before" photos show. We wrapped it in black ripple pearl and then sprayed the insides with high-gloss black lacquer. At that point, all the bearing edges were re-cut to customer specs, and the standard vent grommets were replaced with 1/2" threaded vents. Finally, the lugs were powder coated in black pearl. Sound-wise, the black lacquer brightened the tone up just a bit on the toms and snare, adding just a slight 'edge.' The new finish came out even better than we thought it would - the black ripple is an amazing wrap! Under lights it has tremendous depth, with "bluish" undertones.
