GIG SPECIAL: Vintage Tama Rockstar with Meinl MCS, Big Dog, and Guardian

 DESCRIPTION
        This sweet little kit has been completely refurbished, inside and out. Bearing edges on toms and bass drums were inspected and voids filled, then edges and interiors were hand buffed with 3 coats of paste wax. After some restoration on the exteriors, the original Forest Green wrap was then replaced with blue ripple pearl wrap for a "vintage 90's" look. Other upgrades include new tension rods, tom hoops, Evans heads, floor tom legs, suspension floor tom feet, and nylon tension rod washers. Other than that, all the original badges and other parts are present on the the kit, which according to Tama's web site dates back to 1997.

        But that's just the beginning!!! We're selling this kit complete with everything needed to start gigging immediately. The Big Dog hardware package (recently praised in Modern Drummer) is light yet very sturdy, and features a bass pedal with adjustable beater angle, hi-hat pedal with rotating base and memory lock, one straight and one combination straight/boom cymbal stand, a snare stand with memory lock, and a terrific throne with threaded height adjustment and 13" round seat. The Meinl MCS cymbal boxed set features four harmonically matched cymbals of B8 bronze alloy for outstanding sound and unbeatable value - it's pretty amazing to find hammered bronze at this price level! Last but not least, the Guardian cases (all oversized) include tough Duraguard nylon exteriors with a full 14mm of padding, along with shoulder and side hand straps (the latter being very important for large toms and bass drums).
